    Specifications:
Hexacon Screw Tip Soldering Irons have an oversize chisel tip with the highest thermal mass of any iron tip. Hexacon SI-170 175W Screw Tip Soldering Iron comes with a T271 Tip. Bare copper (unplated) tips are standard. The T271 Tip measures 1" diameter at the barrel x 2-3/8" long and tapers to a 1/2" wide chisel end. The SI-170 Screw Tip Iron will outperform a standard plug-tip 175W or 200W iron. The Hexacon 175 Watt Soldering Iron reaches an idle tip temperature of 1000F. 110/120V
    Heavy Duty Screw Tip Irons
Screw Tip Irons provide lots of thermal mass and extra-large tip surface area for maximum coverage.  The oversize chisel tip is furnished in a screw tip iron in copper allowing user to shape tip to suit applications.  The element outer case is machined from a solid piece of high strength, nickel plated alloy steel and is practically indestructible.  The hexagonal case shape allows iron to be held in a vise or gripped with a wrench for maintenance without damaging it.   Dependable, rugged, and easy to maintain, the tip, element, cord and handle of each Heavy Duty Screw Style Iron is independently replaceable.
    Features
Nickel wound heating element insulated with high dielectric Mica wound on a conductive Brass core.  All Hexacon elements are built with a +/- 2% resistance tolerance, fully burnt-in to stabilize wattage, and dielectric-tested at 1200V in order to allow consistent idling temperatures, fast recovery, and long life
    Painted hardwood handle
